What are it's origins?
REIKI (pronounced Ray-Key) is a method of natural healing based on the application of Universal Life Force Energy. It is an ancient form of touch healing originating in the Buddhist teachings in the Far East.
Reiki can be used in all situations, physical, or emotional ills. Reiki can be used as a general boost or when your energy is low. It can boost the immune system, reducing the risk of colds, flu, and other bugs. Reiki generally produces long term beneficial changes, so you do not need to keep coming back for endless sessions.
However, once you have felt how wonderful it feels, you may want to keep coming back for more.

Firstly I will sit with you and explain fully how the treatment works, where I will be laying my hands, and the effects you may feel.
I will ask about any specific problems you would like to work on, be it physical illness or some other worry. I will then help you to become comfortable and relaxed. If you wish, we could play some soothing music to help you relax.
Once you are fully relaxed | will begin the treatment, you only have to lay in a comfortable position and let yourself drift into complete relaxation.
The whole treatment is done without the need to remove clothing.
In short, this entirely depends on what we are treating.
It is recommended that someone should receive at least 4 treatments in order to feel the maximum effect. Continuous assessment will be made throughout your treatments, from these assessments we can decide how many you may need, and how often you should return.
